How soon will my account be set up and ready to use?
Your account will be setup with in 12 hours or less in most cases. You will receive an email with your account information, IP address, user name and password. You can then start uploading your site.

Is my access 24 hours a day?
Yes. You will have access to your account 24 hours a day.

Can SlabHost register domain names for me?
Yes, you can register a new, or transfer a domain for $16.95 a year. Just click on Domains on the menu.

Does SlabHost allow adult, warez or other illicit sites or content?
No. Please see our terms and conditions page for permissible and unpermissable content.

What are your Network Connections?
100% Cisco powered network is multi-homed to redundant upstream backbone providers, with powerful 155megabit OC3 lines. In the event of a failure with one provider, you'll still be operating and connected through our other upstream provider.

What is your server environment?
- All servers built using ASUS boards
- Western Digital & Maxtor Hard drives
- All equipment covered by APC Master switches
- All equipment covered by minimum of 1.4 KVA UPS units
- Pentium III (Coppermine) 1GHz processor, 512MB RAM and 7200 rpm hard drives.
- OS is Red Hat Linux running Apache Web Server.

Where are your servers located?
SlabHost's servers are located in a state of the art carrier class data facility in Houston, Texas. The building is fed by two separate sub stations, redundant transformers & switchgear, UPS coverage for all Servers & Equipment, 24x7x365 Manned on site security & security cameras, and 24x7x365 HVAC air conditioning.

Where is SlabHost located?
SlabHost is headquartered in East Providence, Rhode Island, USA. East Providence is in the Providence metropolitan area.

Can I get unlimited bandwidth?
No. We do not offer packages with unlimited bandwidth primarily because there is no such thing. Any one that promises that is not telling the truth. Somewhere in their terms and conditions are probably some words referring to "excessive use of resources", and in effect these place some arbitrary limit on your bandwidth. We set limits to both protect you and to provide you with a reliable quality service.
